Farewell to all who followed VB Designs to the end. Even though  this was a fake business, I and you my faithful followers, will truly miss the delightful services that VB Designs provided. We at VB Designs have enjoyed your time spent here at  all VB Design locations, were friendships were made between customer and staff. We unfortunately have to go to greener pastures. I send you all best wishes from the bottom of my heart, and Merry Christmas.

Virtual Worlds and Apps

Hey everybody! This week’s post is all about virtual worlds and apps. VB Designs has just joined the virtual world of second life. The reason that we are joining second life is to reach those who spend their time in the virtual world, to create awareness.  In second life VB Designs has a business set up were you can look at actual designs, find out information about the company, and follow VB Designs on other social media accounts such as Facebook, Pinterest, and blogger.

For all those who like apps, VB Designs now has an App called “Designer Finder”. The concept for this app is to take a picture of the thing you want to find and the app will find the nearest store that carries top fashion brands, find more brands, who designed it, the cost of the brand, and more. The cost for this app has a one month free trial, and to fully purchase the app is $ 9. This app is available for download for iPhones and Android phones. So download the app to join in on the experience.

      I am thinking about joining Buzzillions, because I think the site is very clear to understand. Many top brands like Adrianna Papell , Calvin Klein, and XOXO are also use this site for reviews. As a designer and a business owner I want to know your opinions. Ratings and reviews are essential for running a business. Ratings and review sites allow consumers to rate the product or service of the company, as well as write a review about it. It is important to keep the 'bad' reviews, so the owner of the company can improve in the areas which need to be improved. Bad ratings, and reviews usually get drowned out by positive reviews; so they're rarely deleted.

        I am asking those who Follow VB Designs on Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook to write a review about www. buzzillions.com. Look over the site, what are the upsides of the site, what are the downsides of the site, should VB Designs join the site, yes or no, and why. Please give honest opinions. This is so I can make a better decision  about joining a rating/review site. Post your reviews below this post.

No Shave November

Hey everybody! This month is dedicated to men's health. I lost my grandpa, to cancer around Thanksgiving over four years ago. Though I don't have a beard; I do support No Shave November.

Which is why VB Designs will donate $1,000 to ZERO. An organization who's focus is prostate cancer. If your interested in learning more about ZERO you can go to www.zerocancer.org .

And ladies, No Shave November is not just for men! Take the pledge to not shave your legs, if your daring enough your underarms. It won't kill you if you don't shave them for a the whole month of November.

Styled On, niche network

Hey everybody, I found this great website called Styled on. It's a great place to find people showing off their style. Members can also give feedback to other members, and even purchase items from fashion designers.
I was able to do a power point to show you how Styled on works. I uploaded it as pictures, because I couldn't figure out how to upload power point to blogger.  So here is my presentation, enjoy!

WINTER IS COMING!

As the cold weather sets in, one will be looking for winter coats, hats and mittens.  Take Alison, she wanted to buy a white, double breasted button, pea-coat. But couldn't find the right one. She came to VB Designs and placed a special order. Here's the final result :

VB Designs is also sponsoring at an event called 'Winter Solstice". This event is to raise money for winter clothing for those who cannot afford them. Donations of gently used clothing can be dropped off at the locations on the sites map.

I am very passionate about animals, sadly many pets are left neglected, or are lost. According to the Human Society of the United States over 6million cats and dogs are in shelters. This is one of the reasons why VB designs will sponsor local events such as "Adoption Runway".

VB Designs is sponsoring an event on May 16th. The event is : "Adoption Runway", it will start at 11A.M. and go to 5P.M. In Carson Park, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. There will be a Fashion Show starting at noon. The designs entered to the show must have an animal theme. Another runway show is for the pets, pets must be dressed-up in order to enter; prizes will be given out at the end.

Local shelters will bring some dogs and cats ( who have high hopes of being adopted) to this event. All proceeds will go to the local animal shelters.

     VB Designs has just joined Facebook! You can now 'like' VB Designs on Facebook, give feedback and see what's coming up at VB Designs. This is to reach out and see what you, the customer, think and feel about VB Designs.

     Facebook settings of privacy can help uses 'hide' certain things from certain people. older generations are more concerned about their privacy online than younger generations. You can go into your privacy settings, and sort the people who friended you on the site into categories: family members, close friends, co-workers, Social media friends. This allows the groups to see only the things that you want each separate group to see. but be warned, friends of friends can see the posts too.
        As a business, you want your  company Facebook or social media site privacy settings open. This way your company can reach the most people. Many companies actually don't do their own social media pages, the consumers do, take Coca-Cola, a fan made it and it had so many followers that the company helps maintain it.
       For my personal Facebook, I have it so only my friends and family can see what I post, and I wouldn't really change anything  in my settings(I just fiddle around with the settings until I am satisfied with it),except on who I let on from now on . I am also careful on what I post on it. For this class, the page for my business will be on public setting, so I can get more feedback.

 VB Designs, will also be catering the second annual event called 'CINDERELLA STORY' on January 19th 2030. the event is were girls who cannot afford dresses for prom,receive the princess treatment. They can pick out their dress, shoes and accessories.
